Pet Lovers Mug

A generous ceramic mug, lovingly made by Karo Art Ceramics in Dublin 8. We knew the character of Jo's illustrations of dogs and cats would translate so well into ceramics, so we enlisted the talents of Mike at laser company Snow to create stamps of these drawings that Karo could incorporate into her ceramics.

A collaboration between four Irish companies. The end result is a beautifully crafted, super tactile mug, part of a limited edition, exclusive ceramics collection. The generous handle makes this mug a joy to hold and use, sitting comfortably in the hand. Details like the trademark Strangford eyes on the inside and the Wee Pets logo on the base add character and interest.

"There are numerous steps in making these bowls, and pauses in between, waiting for clay to reach particular firmness. Attention to detail is crucial, as there are only some colored underglazes used to colour in the cat stamp and the rim, other than that, it's transparent glaze only, everything on show." - Karo    

Practical, dishwashable, and very cute. Measurements: Each mug measures 9cm in height x 13cm in diameter (including handle).     

What started as a collaboration on our annual wall calendar has grown into a whole collection of items for pets. Jo Pearson of Strangford is the illustrator of our 2027 calendar. Her style is so unique, the characters she draws, full of divilment! We knew these illustrations could happily translate onto a series of products.

We enlisted the talents of some of our favourite makers in Ireland to collaborate with us on these special products that you and your pet will adore. These include a pet blanket produced in Mayo, pet bandanas screen-printed in Northern Ireland, a ceramics collection made in Dublin, and our calendar and limited-edition print, both printed in Dublin. Our passion is for collaboration, bringing talented makers together to create something totally unique.
